In general, yes, and Wang recommends them to clients that can’t come into her salon. “They are more gentle, low maintenance (just rinse with soapy water), and they last pretty much forever,” she says. Plus, they can be used on all nail types. “You can use them on natural nails, gels and even artificial nails,” says Wang.
How long do glass nail files last?
“Some manufacturers recommend every six months. However, it really depends on your nails and the usage, so replace your glass nail file when it loses its grit and is no longer able to shape nails easily,” recommends Wang. And although they are tempered, remember they are still made of glass. “Just make sure you don't drop them too often, because although durable, they can still crack."
