With signs in the windows announcing “Coming soon,” work crews were at the site of a new DG Market on Monday afternoon at Five Points, Locust and Division streets, Davenport. According to the Dollar General website, DG Markets offer “quality food and groceries at a great value.” The website says the company has more than 19,000 stores in 48 states. “DG has grown from a single store to one of the country’s fastest growing small-box discount retailers,” its website says.
